Milwaukee Shockwave Impact Duty bits are designed to withstand the high torque and impact forces of an impact driver. They are made from High-speed steel (HSS), known for its strength and durability. The tips of Milwaukee Shockwave Impact Duty bits are coated with titanium nitride (TiN), which is a hard, wear-resistant coating that helps to prevent the bit from dulling or breaking.

Red Hex and Cobalt its have quad edge tips, for fast drilling start without walking, prevention of heat build up to provide a stronger life. These impact drill bits also have variable flute geometry for faster material ejection and less burnout thanks to it running cooler. They are also more durable than other bits thanks to the enhanced tapered web that gets wider toward the shank.

Red Hex drill bits are made from HSS-Tin, whereas Red Cobalt steel drill bits are made from HSS-CO metal, and have 3 flat ends at the head, suitable for drilling INOX.

Thunderweb Drill bits are characterised by a conical shaped web that gets thicker towards the back of the drill bit. The web is the internal core of the drill bit.

The flute form ejects hot chips rapidly, and dissipates heat better leading to a longer life. It also means less drill drawback when drilling deeper holes

It's flatter twist angle means it creates smaller chippings, making it ideal for drilling in harder steels like stainless steel. It is ideal for drilling on curved surfaces.
