The DeWalt DCP580 18V XR Brushless Wood Planer is a powerful and precise cordless planer designed for professional carpentry, joinery and woodworking applications. Combining an efficient 18V XR brushless motor with accurate depth adjustment, it provides excellent material removal and a high-quality finish without the restrictions of a power cable.

Capable of removing up to 2mm of material in a single pass, the planer is ideal for quickly sizing doors, smoothing timber and carrying out general finishing work. It also provides a maximum rebate depth of 9mm, increasing versatility across a variety of woodworking tasks. A precision adjustment dial allows the cutting depth to be set in fine 0.1mm increments, giving users excellent control over material removal. The twin-blade drum is fitted with TCT blades, providing clean, consistent cutting and a professional-quality surface finish.

Designed for comfortable handling, the DCP580 features a lightweight, compact and ergonomic construction, making it easy to control in a range of working positions. Large front and rear shoes provide additional stability and help maintain accurate contact with the workpiece throughout each pass. Convenient on-board blade storage keeps replacement blades readily accessible, helping minimise downtime when blade changes are required. The planer is also fully AirLock compatible, allowing connection to suitable DeWalt dust extraction equipment for improved dust management.

As part of the DeWalt 18V XR cordless platform, the planer is compatible with the extensive range of 250+ XR solutions. It is supplied in a robust TSTAK VI kit box, which can be combined with other TSTAK storage units for convenient transportation and organisation.
