The Sealey Floor Standing Radial Pillar Drill 5-Speed 550W/230V is a robust and versatile workshop drilling machine designed for precision drilling across a wide range of materials. Powered by a reliable 550W motor, this floor-standing pillar drill features five spindle speeds to suit a variety of drilling tasks and materials. The 16mm (5/8") MT2 chuck and 80mm spindle travel provide excellent drilling capacity for both light and demanding applications. The standout radial arm design allows the drill head to extend to a maximum throat depth of 420mm, making it ideal for drilling larger workpieces and reaching areas beyond the limits of standard pillar drills. The radial arm is operated by a rack and pinion mechanism, enabling smooth, precise positioning of the drill bit for accurate alignment and repeatable results. The radial function also allows for off-table and angle drilling, greatly increasing the machine's versatility.

Safety is a priority, with the drill equipped with a no-volt release switch to prevent accidental restarting after a power interruption, along with a pulley cover cut-out microswitch that disables operation when the cover is opened. Standing 1620mm high and featuring a sturdy 70mm diameter column, the machine offers exceptional rigidity and stability for accurate drilling performance. For added versatility, a compatible MA10 mortising attachment is available separately, and a bench-mounted version (Model GDM790BR) is also available.
